San Diego College Baseball : Wyoming Rallies for Split With SDSU

Wyoming rallied for five runs in the ninth inning and two more in the 10th to defeat San Diego State, 15-14, Thursday and earn a split of a Western Athletic Conference doubleheader at Laramie, Wyo.
In the opener, Doug Royalty, in his first start of the season, pitched a complete game, and Nikco Riesgo and Chuck McGinnis hit home runs to give SDSU a 10-2 victory.
In the second game, Wyoming overcame a 13-8 deficit in the ninth inning and won the game on Craig Maki’s two-run double in the 10th.
Riesgo had a triple to tie the single-season school record of nine set by Chris Gwynn in 1984. He tied the career record of 14 triples held by Gwynn, Art Preston and Earle Burcker.
SDSU is 10-10, 29-26-1. Wyoming is 10-10, 25-19.
CS San Bernardino 6, Point Loma Nazarene 3--San Bernardino took advantage of five errors in a nonconference game at Point Loma College.
