William J. Keating, CEO of the Detroit Newspaper Agency, was elected chairman of the Associated Press on Tuesday, succeeding Frank Batten.
Batten, chairman and CEO of Landmark Communications Inc., retired from the AP after five years as chairman and 12 years as a director.
In addition, Robert G. Marbut, president and CEO of Harte-Hanks Communications Inc., was elected vice chairman.
