Micheal Ray Richardson, the former New Jersey Net banned by the NBA for drug abuse, filed a medical malpractice suit, claiming that a doctor gave him improper treatment that caused him to relapse into drug use.
The suit was filed in Superior Court against Dr. Russell Ferstandig of Ridgewood, N.J.
Ferstandig denied the allegations of malpractice.
