Hubie Brown, former New York Knicks coach, removed himself from consideration for the vacant Clipper coaching job.

“I’ve had my attorney contact them, and withdrawn my name,” Brown said. “I thank the Clippers’ organization for considering me for the job, and for the many courtesies they extended during the past few weeks.”

Brown would not discuss the reasons for his decision, other than to say, “It was a combination of things.”
