Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, publisher of the New York Times, was named chairman of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Tuesday. Sulzberger has been a Met trustee since 1968 and a member of the museum’s acquisitions board since 1970. He succeeds J. Richardson Dilworth as chairman, a post that involves fund-raising and heading board meetings.
