Comments Made at Casey Funeral

Bishop McGann self-indulgently kicked his “friend” Bill Casey into the grave by reflecting adversely on Casey’s morality. No doubt, the bishop felt guilt arising out of his failure to state those views to Casey when Casey was alive and the statement may have done some good. In the past, priests were condemned for selling indulgences. Maybe it’s worse for a priest to use them himself without paying.
