Dream Syndicate, T.S.O.L., Three O’Clock and former Go-Go’s bassist Kathy Valentine’s new band, World’s Cutest Killers, will be among more than 15 local bands and acoustic performers who will participate May 31 in a 4 p.m. to midnight “Rock Against AIDS” benefit at the downtown Variety Arts Center. Proceeds will go to AIDS Project L.A., a nonprofit organization that provides home care services for persons with AIDS. Craig Lee, music editor of the L.A. Weekly, is organizing the event, which he hopes will raise $20,000.
