Smith Laboratories Reports $112,000 Net Loss

Smith Laboratories Inc. reported $278,000 in net income and $2.4 million in revenue for the second quarter ended April 30. The San Diego-based medical products company reported a $112,000 net loss and $2.3 million in revenue during the same quarter a year ago.
Smith moved to San Diego from Chicago last September. Its Sutter Biomedical Inc. subsidiary is located in Kearny Mesa. Sutter manufactures orthopedic implants and rehabilitation devices.
