Rockwell Team Gets Pact From Australian Navy

EL SEGUNDO — A multinational team headed by Rockwell International Corp. has been selected by the Royal Australian Navy to provide combat systems for the Navy’s new fleet of six diesel-electric submarines.
The contract is valued in excess of $500 million.
Rockwell International’s combat system will incorporate sensors and weapons-management equipment to allow each submarine to accomplish its mission. The Rockwell contract covers program management, systems integration, and data transfer and processing hardware.
