The prosecutor in the trial of Brian Tribble said that former University of Maryland basketball player Len Bias acted as “courtesy middleman” for Tribble in distributing cocaine.
Tribble is being tried in Prince George’s County (Md.) Circuit Court on cocaine distribution and possession charges in connection with Bias’ cocaine-induced death.
Prosecutor Robert Bonsib, in disputing a defense request that a conspiracy charge against Tribble be dropped, told judge James M. Rea on the first day of the trial that an arrangement existed among Bias, Tribble and Terrence Moore concerning the distribution of drugs.
