Fluor Unit Gets Contract From U.S. Postal Service

Fluor Daniel, a unit of Fluor Corp. of Irvine, said it signed an agreement with the U. S. Postal Service to provide construction and general management services, as well as professional and technical staff, for the postal service’s central region.
The contract, with a value that could exceed $20 million, covers the 13 states in the region. Contract work, already under way, is being handled by company offices in Chicago, Kansas City, Mo., and St. Paul, Minn. The contract is for a year but could be extended for a total of three years. Fluor Daniel, the engineering, construction and maintenance arm of Fluor Corp., is also based in Irvine.
