The Lakers will open defense of their National Basketball Assn. championship at the Forum against Seattle as the league opens its 42nd season with 11 games on Nov. 6, a week later than usual.
The NBA’s 1987-88 schedule, announced Saturday, has the Clippers playing their home opener the following night against Portland at the Sports Arena.
CBS-TV’s first national telecast will be Dec. 12, matching the Philadelphia 76ers and the Chicago Bulls.
The regular season, which has opened the last few years in the last week of October, will end April 24.
