Although he wasn’t in court to personally do the honors, actor Jim Belushi has pleaded innocent to misdemeanor assault and battery charges stemming from an alleged attack on a man at a Westwood intersection after the man spat on his car. Belushi entered the plea via his attorney, since his presence wasn’t required because the charges are misdemeanors. Municipal Court Commissioner Joseph Ruffner scheduled a preliminary hearing for July 31.
