The Dodgers have signed free-agent second baseman Julio Cruz to a contract with the Albuquerque Dukes of the Pacific Coast League. Cruz, 32, was released by the Chicago White Sox after spring training. In 9 1/2 seasons with the Seattle Mariners and the White Sox, he had a .237 batting average.
