Local News in Brief : Broken Pipe Closes Malibu Creek Park
- Share via
Malibu Creek State Park in Calabasas was closed to visitors Thursday after a water line burst, leaving the Las Virgenes Road facility without water for drinking and firefighting.
Park ranger Randy Sederquist said it will be Wednesday before the six-inch line can be repaired and the park reopened.
During July and August, the 7,000-acre park draws about 60 visitors a day, mostly hikers and equestrians, he said.
