Betty Ford Undergoes Surgery

Former First Lady Betty Ford had elective surgery at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage today to unblock arteries at both sides of her neck and will be recovering at her desert home after a brief hospitalization, hospital spokesman Michael McFadden said.
