Beverly Hills : 17 Students Win Art Awards

Seventeen students were awarded art honors at the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona, according to Arthur Fields, acting director of educational services for the school district.
The awards were issued for painting, drawing, prints, ceramics and sculpture. Students receiving first-place awards were Afshin Ben Cohen, Steve Levin, Leah Broder and Amy Nebenzahl. Second-place awards were earned by David Azema, Lori Moradi and Brittney Singletary, and third-place honors went to Lori Chasin, Justin Gunn and Kristina Royce.
The following students received honorable mentions: Ayelet Flashner, Rani Sharone, Lori Shuman, Greg Harward, Michael Hsu, Brent Stein and Steven Molitz.
