Senior Vice President George E. Cherrie has been named general auditor of BankAmerica Corp., San Francisco, and Bank of America, NT&SA.; Cherrie had been serving as chief administrative officer of the bank’s World Banking Group. Those duties will be assumed by Senior Vice President Thomas M. Quigg, who has been serving as head of the bank’s Southwest Region activities based in Houston.
