Huntington Park : Pet Limit Law Upheld

The Huntington Park City Council this week rejected a plea to change city law to enable an apartment dweller to keep her three dogs.
Laurel R. Goodwin asked the City Council on Monday to amend the municipal code which limits apartment residents to one dog. While the council took no formal action, Mayor Thomas E. Jackson told Goodwin he supported the law to maintain sanitary conditions in the densely populated city. Councilmen Herbert A. Hennes and Jack W. Parks also said they support the law.
Goodwin has until the end of the month to get rid of two of her dogs. She was notified of the violation after a neighbor complained, an official said.
