Cal State Fullerton, riding a five-game losing streak and still looking for its first Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. basketball victory of the season, will play Utah State tonight at Logan, Utah.
The Aggies (10-6 overall and 5-2 in the conference) had been off to their best PCAA start before losing to Nevada Las Vegas, 87-83, Tuesday night. Utah State’s Reid Newey scored 30 points in that game. Aggie guard Kevin Nixon leads the PCAA in steals (an average of 3.1 a game) and assists (6.4).
Fullerton (4-10, 0-5) is coming off one of its better performances, a 63-57 loss to UNLV a week ago. The Titans are led by Richard Morton, whose 23.4-point average is the second-best in the PCAA.
