Two Southeast San Diego brothers pleaded innocent Monday to murder in connection with a La Mesa traffic accident, which killed a motorist, that occurred while they were trying to get away from police.
The driver, Rodney Capell, 27, and his brother, Trenton, 22, also pleaded innocent to conspiracy to commit robbery, three counts of robbery and auto theft.
San Diego Municipal Judge Louis Boyle set bail for both at $500,000.
The victim, Ronald Stone, 29, of San Carlos, was fatally injured Thursday after his car collided with the stolen car being pursued by San Diego police.
The brothers waived their right to have a bail review later this week. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for March 18.
