SCC Plays Westmont in Battle for First

Southern California College men’s basketball team will play host to Westmont College at 7:30 tonight in a battle for first place in the Golden State Athletic Conference in Costa Mesa.

Both teams are 7-3 in the conference and feature several former Orange County prep players. Westmont (16-8) is led by 6-foot 6-inch forward Mike Kelly, a former Mater Dei High School star who is averaging 15.2 points per game.

Southern California College (14-12) is led by former Ocean View point guard Todd Dixon, who averages 14.4 points per game. Phil Hill of Savanna also starts in the backcourt for the Vanguards.
