Foothill Falls to Glendora, 64-46

Kurt Bonds scored 20 points and Tracey Murray added 14 to lead Glendora High School to a 64-46 victory over Foothill Tuesday night in the second round of the Southern Section 4-A boys’ basketball playoffs at Chino High School.
Bonds, Glendora’s point guard, made 9 of 11 shots from the field and had 6 assists. Murray, who averaged 32 points a game during the regular season, was double-teamed and limited to four points in the first half. Murray, a 6-7 junior forward, had 14 rebounds.
After trailing, 14-8, after the first quarter, Glendora (28-0) took a 26-22 halftime lead. Glendora pulled away in the second half when it made 16 of 18 shots from the field. Glendora, Baseline League champions, made 56% of its shots during the regular season.
Foothill (17-11) was led by Bill Mazurie’s 19 points and Greg Rieber’s 18.
