DeLaveaga Selected Top District III Player

Steve deLaveaga of Cal Lutheran has been selected Golden State Athletic Conference and NAIA District III player of the year.
DeLaveaga, a junior forward, was the leading scorer in the district with an average of 27.5 points a game.
His 28 points helped the Kingsmen to an 86-79 victory over Cal Baptist on Tuesday in the first round of the district playoffs. Cal Lutheran (16-13) plays Biola at 8 p.m. Saturday in a second-round game at Whittier College.
