Stay Tuned for Pledge Weeks

During the next two weeks, public television station KOCE will be conducting one of our three annual on-air drives, asking viewers to support our programming by “voting with their checkbooks.”
Viewer support is critical to KOCE. We can only air programs that we can afford, and good programs are very expensive. Consider, for example, that KOCE must pay $42,776 each year to bring our viewers “Great Performances” or $44,099 annually for “Frontline.”
We have other sources of funding, such as corporate underwriting and state and federal government assistance. Membership, however, provides 25% of the station’s revenue.
So, the bad news is, “we’re asking. It’s that time of year again.” But the good news is that your support will help ensure continuation of the top-quality programming you expect to see on KOCE.
