Titan Women Finish Third in PCAA

Cal State Fullerton women’s basketball team finished in third place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. with a 62-56 victory over the University of the Pacific on Saturday night in Titan Gym.
Pacific’s pressuring defense kept the Tigers (9-18, 4-14) close all night. Strong offensive games from junior forward Julie Szukalski , who scored 19 points, and Gretchen Meinhardt, 14 points, allowed Pacific to keep the game within four points. However, Fullerton (17-10, 12-6) pressured the Tigers into 27 turnovers.
Junior forward Felicia Benson scored a team-high 13 points, including 9 of 12 from the free throw line and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. Senior forward Wendy Anae came off the bench to score 11 points.
