Community College Roundup : El Camino Beats Golden West, 5-1

El Camino College scored two earned and three unearned runs in the fourth inning and beat Golden West, 5-1, in a South Coast Conference softball game Monday at Golden West.
Rhonda Nelson (7-5) struck out 10 for El Camino (8-5, 1-0).
In men’s volleyball:
Santa Barbara City 3, Golden West 2--Santa Barbara came from behind at Golden West for a 13-15, 15-12, 15-6, 5-15, 16-14, victory, getting revenge for last week’s match when Golden West swept Santa Barbara City. Golden West’s Randy Smith had 14 kills and 11 blocks, and setter Eddie Rapp had 83 assists.
