Italian Greeted by Arrest in Child Porn Case After Stepping Off Plane
- Share via
An Italian executive who allegedly mailed child pornography to an undercover police officer in Los Angeles County was arrested in New York on a federal indictment as he stepped off a plane from Italy on Friday, federal authorities said.
Alesandro Moncini of Trieste was on his way to meet the undercover officer, authorities said. He was indicted in Los Angeles last April on three counts of violating the Child Protection Act in the mailing of photographs and a videotape of children engaged in sex acts.
Authorities would not specify how the undercover officer began dealings with Moncini, who faces a maximum prison sentence of 30 years and a $750,000 fine if convicted.
