Las Vegas Is a Town This Side of Tucson

Robyn Norwood said in The Times on Monday that Arizona is “the first Western team to be seeded first in the West since Oregon State in 1981,”
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it just last year that Nevada Las Vegas was seeded No. 1 in the West Regional and continued on to participate in the Final Four. The City of Las Vegas is west of Tucson.
