Seagram Classics Wine Co. announced that it had signed a long-term agreement for worldwide marketing of Charles Krug and C. K. Mondavi table wines, brands produced by C. Mondavi & Sons of St. Helena in the Napa Valley. The move comes about eight months after Seagram reached a similar agreement with Mirassou, the San Jose-based wine producer. The family of owner Peter Mondavi will continue to own and operate the Napa Valley’s first winery, which dates to 1861, Seagram said.
