The NIT : Connecticut Stops Louisiana Tech

HARTFORD, Conn. — Cliff Robinson scored 17 points, and Connecticut recovered after stumbling at the start of the second half and overcame Louisiana Tech, 65-59, Monday night in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament.
Louisiana Tech (22-9) scored the first nine points after halftime to take its only lead, 38-36, on two free throws by Randy White with 14:23 remaining.
But Connecticut (17-14) went on an eight-point run, including two jumpers by Robinson, to regain control.
Phil Gamble had 16 points and freshman Murray Williams added 15 points for Connecticut, which made 67.5% of its shots.
