Chub Feeney, who came out of retirement 9 months ago to become president of the San Diego Padres, has agreed to stay on the job through the 1990 season.
“I am delighted with the way our club is going and the stability and leadership that Chub has given,” owner Joan Kroc said in a statement. “We have things in place and the leadership team for the Padres is a good one.”
Feeney, 66, also was given a seat on the club’s board of directors, Kroc said.
