A student demonstration Monday at Chapman College failed to change an administrator’s recent decision ordering a nude scene cut from student John Moffett’s play, “The Coloring Box.” Administrator Jay Moseley banned the scene, saying it breached the “value-centered” tradition of the Christian-oriented school in Orange. However, some Chapman faculty members said the nude scene should have been permitted. Playwright Moffett said he only wants “to have the performance the way I wanted it.”
