Koppers Co. rejected a revised cash tender offer of $56 a share from a takeover company formed by Britain’s Brian Beazer and the U.S. investment firm Shearson Lehman Hutton. The takeover company, BNS Inc., raised its offer over the weekend to $1.6 billion, or $56 a share, from $1.3 billion, or $45 a share, for Koppers, a construction materials, paving services and chemical company based in Pittsburgh.
