Local News in Brief : Cypress : Video Grants of Up to $500 Offered by City
- Share via
Video producers can apply for up to $500 assistance in production costs as part of the city’s new video grant program.
The program, implemented earlier this month, is designed to encourage the development of locally oriented video programs for public access cable channels, Assistant City Manager David Barrett said.
The city’s Cable Television Commission will select five or more applicants to receive between $100 and $500, Barrett said. The only requirements are that the producers be residents of Cypress and certified to use cable operators equipment.
Application packets are available in the city clerk’s office, 5275 Orange Ave.
The deadline for submitting applications to the clerk’s office is April 15 at 5 p.m.
