Retirement Center to Rise in Palm Desert

Charter Communities Inc., San Diego, will develop and manage Hacienda de Monterey, a 279-unit retirement housing center and congregate care facility to be built at 44-600 Monterey Ave., Palm Desert.
Pearce, Urstadt, Mayer & Greer Realty Corp. arranged a $21.6-million participating construction loan with Imperial Corp. of America, San Diego.Completion is scheduled for January.
