Academy Award ballots to more than 4,400 voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences were mailed over the weekend. The vote will determine the winners in 23 motion-picture categories; ballots must be received by Price Waterhouse and Co., an international auditing firm, no later than 5 p.m. April 5. Price Waterhouse officials then will tabulate the ballots and place the winners’ names in sealed envelopes. Those envelopes will be opened April 11 during the 60th annual Academy Awards presentation at the Shrine Civic Auditorium, to be televised this year by ABC.
