Local News in Brief : Cypress : 2 Applicants Sought for Parks Commission

The City Council is seeking applicants for two Recreation and Community Services Commission posts that will become vacant in June.
The commission advises the City Council on the acquisition, maintenance and development of the city’s public parks and recreational facilities. It meets at the Cypress Community Center at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.
Applicants must be registered voters and must live either in the city or in an area served by the Cypress Recreation and Park District. Applications are available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the personnel office in City Hall, 5275 Orange Ave.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. May 20.
