Local News in Brief : Jackson Headquarters to Open

A South Bay headquarters for the Jesse Jackson ’88 presidential campaign will officially open Saturday, local campaign officials announced.
The office, at 14123 S. Van Ness Ave. in Gardena, will cover the 31st Congressional District, including the cities of Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood and Lawndale, said office coordinator Duffie Brown.
Several local politicians are expected to attend the opening Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. The public is welcome, Brown said.
