Daniel H. Ridder, 66, will become chairman of the Press-Telegram in Long Beach and will be succeeded as president and publisher by his nephew, Peter Ridder. Peter Ridder, 41, who served as business manager for the Long Beach newspaper between 1974 and 1978, is president and chief executive of Ft. Wayne Newspapers in Indiana. He will assume his new post on June 1.
