Ninety-two employees at the Federated Department Stores’ corporate offices in Cincinnati were laid off as part of the retailer’s acquisition by Campeau of Toronto. Federated spokeswoman Carol Sanger said the layoffs range from senior management to clerical staff. She said those who lost their jobs Friday will receive severance packages ranging from at least 13 weeks of pay to as many as 20 weeks. The company also will help employees with job placement counseling.
