POLITICS ’88 : CAMPAIGN ’88 : Democratic TV Debate

Dukakis and Jackson have agreed to debate on May 25 in San Francisco at public television station KQED.
Dukakis’ California communications coordinator, Pat Forciea, said: “There are a stack of other requests (for debates) but we have not agreed to others yet.”
Having chosen one debate in Northern California, the candidates are expected to agree to at least one debate in Southern California.
