Dodgers Building Up; Angels Tearing Down
The difference is becoming very clear. The Dodgers are intent on building a ball club that will provide us with good baseball; the Angels seem only to be obsessed with reducing payroll. (I even fear for the future with the way Wally Joyner was treated.)
There seems to be one last cost-cutting measure that the Angels have not implemented: Replacing the general manager with a computer. The job could be done just as efficiently.
