JPL Receives Award for Child-Care Program

PASADENA — The Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues has honored the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for its child-care program for employees. JPL is one of 19 employers in the country to receive the award.
The JPL/Caltech Community Child Educational Center serves 179 children ages 6 weeks to 4 years in classroom and playground space leased from the La Canada Flintridge Unified School District.
The program, established nine years ago, is sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
