A June, 1990, completion is scheduled for the $80-million, 600,000-square-foot downtown production facility for the Los Angeles Times.
Designed by Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall, Los Angeles, the three-level building is being constructed by Swinerton & Walberg Co. on a 26-acre site bounded by Olympic Boulevard, Alameda, 8th and Lemon streets.
The plant will replace the newspaper’s current downtown production facility at Times Mirror Square. Other Times production plants are in Chatsworth and Costa Mesa.
