El Cajon Man Dies in Highway Accident

A 42-year-old El Cajon man died Saturday when he was thrown from his car after a collision on California 125 in La Mesa.
Douglas Tellander suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 5:30 p.m., a coroner’s office spokesman said.
Tellander was southbound on the highway just north of Panorama Drive when a car driven by Dale Hopkins, 20, of Santee, attempted to pass, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.
