Micheal Ray Richardson, who was reinstated by the National Basketball Assn. last month after a two-year ban for cocaine use, told an Italian newspaper that he will play next season in Italy.

Richardson, 33, will be paid about $700,000, plus room, board and a car under terms of a two-year contract he signed with Virtus Bologna, reported Gazzetta dello Sport of Milan.
