Abbie Hoffman’s 20-year metamorphosis from Yippie radical to Yuppie comic is now complete. His debut comedy album, “Dear Abbie,” is due out soon on the Gold Castle Records label. Portions of the live LP were recorded earlier this year during Hoffman’s appearances at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach. The producer is North County’s Malcolm Falk, who books the club and recently became Hoffman’s personal manager.
