U.N. Unit Finds Car Bomb

BEIRUT — U.N. peacekeeping troops discovered and detonated an explosives-laden car that was intended to be blown up inside the Israeli-controlled “security zone” in southern Lebanon, U.N. and security sources said Friday.
A spokesman of the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon said the booby-trapped Renault was laden with 154 pounds of explosives.
