Eamonn Coghlan, world indoor record holder in the mile, was turned down in his bid to be named to Ireland’s Olympic team.
Coghlan, 35, recently met the Olympic standard in the 5,000 meters, but the Irish Olympic Council voted not to send him to Seoul.
